Zorlu Energy is seeking an experienced"Electrical Engineer" to join the Project team. The successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of utility scale photovoltaic (PV) solar electrical design, equipment selection, energy modeling and manage all aspects of the assigned Solar projects to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, while minimizing risks and maximizing margins on a variety of solar energy projects across the various location.

         Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
• Proven track record of 3+ years of solar project experience, including solar projects over 5 MW,
• In-depth knowledge of Electrical Codes and other PV system regulatory codes,
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSYST, PVSOL ETAP  and other common electrical analysis program,
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic concepts such as Ohm’s Law, resistive losses, material ,properties, power conversion equipment such as inverters and transformers,
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills,
• Self-disciplined and result-oriented,
• Fluent in Turkish and English is a prerequisite,
• Russian and Kazakh language proficiencies are a plus,
• Flexibility to travel to project sites in various locations whenever necessary,
• Excellence in MS Office (Project, Word, Excel etc.),
• Travel to construction site is minimal but may be required.

      Job Description:

• Carry out the utility scale photovoltaic (PV) solar electrical design,
• Produce preliminary engineering documents and related material for estimating purposes,
• Create project drawings including site plans, system layout, single lines, cable management, and equipment installation details,
• Prepare bid packages and support procurement electrical materials and services as needed,
• Prepare Bill of Quantities and draft the scope of work,
• Create project budget based upon quotes and bids; track project costs,
• Create and distribute RFPs to potential vendors, suppliers and subcontractors, establish evaluation metrics,
• Interface with solar module, inverter, and other OEM’s to obtain technical information and stay apprised of technology advancements, pricing, and market trends,
• Perform calculations for losses, conductor sizing, equipment rating, fusing and protection consistent with NEC, ANSI, IEC and UL,
• Manage relationships with various equipment vendors, contractors, and third-party engineering firms,
• Prepare and/or review of design drawings and calculations for Solar Energy,
• Review and comment vendor drawings and shop drawings,
• Support preparation of project budget based upon quotes and bids; track project costs,
• Support development of project timeline, identification of critical path and key milestones for project’s success,
• Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks, and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact,
• Maintaining records and databases,
• Provide technical support and guidance, solving on site problems
• Conduct site visit and assessments to support preliminary design and site selection efforts, including constructability reviews,
• Communicate technical aspects of a project with other disciplines in the department.
