We’re looking for an outstanding hotel manager for a themed boutique hotel: Hotel Poem.

Positioned in Sultanahmet, neither the name nor the concept of Hotel Poem is a coincidence. We wanted to share the feelings of major names in the world of arts who – like our guests -- breathed and was affected by the enchanting atmosphere of Istanbul and reflected their impressions in their work, touching on all branches of the arts in the process.

Qualifications:

• Education: University degree (Tourism and Hotel Management or Business Administration is preferable)

• Language: Excellent written and communication skills in English and Turkish. Any additional languages will be a plus

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Computer skills: Strong knowledge of hospitality software and MS Office required

• Customer Service: Exceptional communication skills and commitment to providing excellent service to hotel guests

• Leadership and communication: Ability to motivate employees, resolve their issues and complaints from guests with an approachable, solution-oriented and positive attitude

• Trust: Ability to ensure the security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information with high professionalism

• Motivation: Ability to work well under pressure, focus on the details, think clearly, analyze and resolve problems, exercise good judgment always with calm and composure

Job Description

• Manage daily reservations processes and operations to include, but not limited to, room inventory and availability, group rooming lists and blocks, cut-off dates and restrictions, occupancy, selling guest rooms, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation
  

• Run marketing campaigns and relationships with travel agencies and OTAs

• Oversee and ensure the updating of rates and promotions on the hotel website and OTAs.

• Supervise the front office employees and provide assistance in customer relationships

• Represent Hotel Poem in external fairs and relationships with external parties by acting as an ambassador

• Monitor customer reviews on the website and on hotel booking sites to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the hotel and take action points

• Post hotel details on destination websites and online booking sites to increase reach to your target audience

• Understand the boutique hotel concept and deliver an excellent guest experience by sharing the value proposition of the hotel

• Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.
