QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Technology Programs Engineer - Additive Manufacturing deals with advance additive manufacturing technologies, supporting design for additive manufacturing, machine, process, part and material development, optimization and supporting key R&D initiativesTechnology Programs Engineer - Additive Manufacturing deals with advance additive manufacturing technologies, supporting design for additive manufacturing, machine, process, part and material development, optimization and supporting key R&D initiatives
- Primary focus will be on developing additive manufacturing processes, design methodologies and materials & related technologies for building components for use in Aviation sector
- Generate novel technical ideas and develop technical solutions to address the needs for additive manufacturing technologies
- Interface with external organizations and supporting functions to coordinate the project to accomplish overall goals
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with metal additive manufacturing technologies such as DMLS, EBM, DMLM, DED, Binder Jetting, etc.
- Experience on state of the art metal additive manufacturing systems such as GE Additive, EOS, Renishaw, etc.
- Hands on experience in additive manufacturing part and process development
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience in an R&D environment
- Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements
- Demonstrated analytical, experimental and problem solving skills
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with operating additive machines, including parameter development
- Experience with CAD software
- Experience with topology optimization software
- Experience with additive manufacturing process simulation software
- Ability to identify and implement process control and process discipline methodology to additive manufacturing processes
- Experience with additive machine development
