TÜMOSAN Research & Development positions are great opportunities for both junior and senior level engineers who will gain deep engineering knowledge and fully utilize their technical skills to have a challenging role within the Transmission Development Team.
General Requirements:
- B.Sc / M.Sc / Ph.D degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a reputable university in Turkey or abroad
- Should have 3+ years of professional working experience
- 3+ years direct hydraulics experience is an asset
- 3+ years direct experience in transmission development or automotive industry is an asset
- General knowledge of transmission and/or hydraulic control systems
- Experience in electro-hydraulic controls
- Professional working knowledge of CATIA program and 3D design and 2D drawings
- Fluency in English to support international work environment
- Military service should be completed or exempt
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and professional development
- Strong ability to work in a highly utilized project management and product development environment
- Living in or able to relocate to Istanbul
- Ph.D will be considered as an asset
- Expertise on Flowmaster, AMESIM, SimHydraulics or any hydraulics 1D simulation programs is an asset
- Experience on Data Acquisition, Data Analysis and Data Acquisition Systems will be considered as an asset
Role:
- Perform the definition of control, lubrication, pressure and cooling circuits
- Define number and type of needed valves and filters, pump types and performance data,
- Perform the definition amount of required oil flow and cooling water flow and pressure level
- Perform the definition of , required cross section for suction and pressure lines, oil cooler performance data
- Perform the definition of pump drive systems
- Perform the concept design and analysis of hydraulic transmission control systems
- Perform the simulation of hydraulic systems for the purpose of concept validation
- Perform detail design of hydraulic transmission control systems including 2D-3D drawings and manufacturing tolerances.
- Establish specifications for design, testing and validation of components
- Support vehicle integration and functional development for transmission control units and hydraulic systems
- Develop transmission hardware to optimize system performance (improve durability, reliability and fuel economy, reduce cost)
- Interaction with domestic and international suppliers and contractors
- Management of outsource test and development activities
- Plan and execute required testing to demonstrate transmission hydraulics functionality and reliability (managing instrumentation, powertrain controls interface and test rigs)
- Work with component engineers to develop transmission design to meet requirements
- Take part for resolution of identified technical problems during qualification tests both on test rigs or on vehicle
Profile:
- Preferably Masters degree in Engineering, BS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace or equivalent
- Must demonstrate a sound understanding of mechanical and control engineering principles
- Solid understanding of transmission technology particularly MT, AMT, AT, DCT, CVT, Clutches and hydraulic control
- Experience with Transmission Test & Development
- Strong knowledge on automotive technology
- Knowledge and experience of hydraulic system and their applications on transmission controls
- Strong numeric and literacy skills
- Should have well-rounded knowledge with a high degree of competency in multiple disciplines
- Able to demonstrate a methodical approach to problem solving
- Data acquisition experience with imc STUDIO and imc FAMOS
- Experience with some of the following software packages:
- MATLAB, Simulink
- AMESIM, FLowmaster or SimHydraulic
- CATIA V5 o GT-Suite or AVL Cruise or similar programs
- IMC Famos and Studio
- PTC Windchill
