We are one of the leaders in the retail segment of the energy industry, and we are looking for a SeniorJava Developer/Team Lead/CTO who is dedicated to the craft, writes code that they are proud of and can hit the ground running.

What does a Senior Java Developer/Team Lead/CTO do?

Responsibilities cover elaboration, construction, and transition tasks as well as the mentoring of team members. While advanced knowledge of a few areas of development and technology are required, the right candidate should possess very strong general analytical and problem solving skills.

Write beautiful, fast code to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our products in meaningful ways.
You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

What do we want to do together?

Develop custom Billing/CRM/Online Subscription/Selfcare web-based soft for energy sector (electricity/gaz/internet). Some developments are planned to outsource (Mobile app, etc).

Developing communications between our machines and third party companies web methods by using REST API communication technology.

Building communications between our current accounting applications and web applications.

Responsibilities

• Take requirements from use case inception to fully integrated testing (analysis, design, coding, unit testing).
• Actively participate in and contribute to design sessions. Occasionally lead design sessions as an expert.
• Responsible for independently designing and coding solutions. Make technical design decisions independently on a daily basis within the scope of architectural guidance.
• Make technical coding decisions independently on a daily basis.
• Actively involved in application development (90-100% allocation).
• Complete tasks on a timely basis and produce quality work.
• Mentor junior developers/team members.
• Participate in design and code reviews.

• Write “clean”, well-designed code
• Produce detailed technical documentation
  
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices
• Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

Technical Requirements

• Not expert but average/good command of written and spoken English
• Proven software development experience in JAVA (5+ years)
• Experience in using JAVA frameworks, preferably Java EE / Spring Framework (Spring Boot), knowledge of JSP, JSF
• Experience with build tools: Gradle, Maven
• Knowledge in Tomcat, Jboss - Wildfly
• While MySql and MSSql knowledge is a must, PostreSql knowledge is nice to have
  
• Linux experience is nice to have
• Have used at least one of the software code sharing tools, SVN, CVS, Git etc.
• Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery/Prototype, AJAX, and experience in Bootsrap responsive design
• Previously had experience in web site management panels and web projects. Applicant should have strong references.
• Technical/practical experience in Web API, WSDL, JSON and Restful Service
