Piping Design Engineer

TAYRAŞ Base Oil Refinery has an investment cost of 32.4 million $ with a capacity of 60.000 ton/annum ULO processing capacity. The refinery was established on the company’s 86.000 sqm land in Bilecik. Refinery is one of the biggest and high technology and environmentally friendly ULO refinery. The final product of the Refinery is high value-added Group II+ Base oil.

Responsibilities ;

• Develop Overall and Units general arrangements complying with project´s contract, design basis and economic criteria.
• Define pipe racks/tracks, structures and platforms main geometries
• Vendor´s drawing review and comment.
• Equipment´s 3D model update Perform the 1st piping material take off (MTO)
• Piping design complying with: client´s requirements, P&ID’s, Plot Plan, piping material specifications, equipment´s drawings and maintenance volumes.
• Reviews and solves for piping clashes (by 3D Model)
• Isometric´s drawings issuing
• Support to project management team for technical coordination with other engineering disciplines, partners and client
• Support to project management team for 3D model design reviews with client, licensors and/or partners

Requirements ;

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,
•  Experience in design and engineering of piping in power plants and/or field of refineries, petrochemical plant and oil & gas sectors,
• Full conversant with relevant international code & standards such as ANSI/ASME, DIN/EN, AWWA, API standards,
• Full conversant with 3D CAD SYSTEM (Preferably with Smart Plant 3D, PDMS or Aveva E3D) and 3D MODEL REVIEW SYSTEM (Preferably SP Review, AVEVA Review or Autodesk NavisWorks),
• Full conversant with 2D CAD SYSTEM (Minimum Auto CAD),
• Full conversant with Pipe Stress Analysis Systems (Preferably CAESAR 2),
• Competent with MS Office Programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English,
• Conversant with the requirement of ISO 9001:2015,
• Full conversant with piping engineering and design practices in energy, refinery, oil & gas and/or petroleum industry,
• Experience in preparing proposal and ITB is preferred,
•  Experience of working with a multinational workforce is preferred,
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering design codes, standards and regulations,
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence,
