QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for 'Senior Buyer' for our Turkey operation, will take a role in supply chain department with the qualifications below;

  • Graduated from related engineering department, especially in Mechanical, Agricultural Machinery or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in direct purchasing
  • Have experience in automotive, machine or production field  
  • Fluency in English - both verbal and written
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications
  • No military obligation for male candidates
  • No restriction to travel
  • Valid driving licience and being active driver
  • SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Good team player, self-diciplined, result-oriented with planing and organization skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for supplier
  • Living or willing to relocate Manisa / İzmir (shuttle is available Bornova to Karşıyaka route)

Job Decription

  • To identify the potential parts and potential suppliers in Turkey / abroad
  • To avail the technical drawings and start RFQ process to new/existing suppliers
  • To perform supplier assessment along with SQA and sign off NDA along with supplier
  • To develop or to localise the parts with the finalised suppliers within the target cost set by the management
  • Sign off the supplier agreement, tooling agreement, rejection policy and project specific agreements (if any) inline with TAFE’s requirement  
  • To work on the product costing based on the guidelines suggested by TAFE, negotiate and settle the price and all other technical/commercial inco terms (packaging, rejection, transportation, etc)
  • Settle the product price within the target cost and norms defined by TAFE. 
  • Negotiate and settle the cost escalation formula pertains to each parts inline with TAFE’s requirement 
  • To coordinate and avail the necessary documents (dimensional. Metallurgical, PPAP, 8D, Quality reports and other reports) certificates (welding certificate, ISO, company registration certificate and other certificates) from supplier during sample and serial production
  • Create sample submission warranty in the wind-chill, coordinate the approval and place PO in SAP 
  • Coordinate the discussions with supplier on quality requirements, improvements and other requirements
