Senior Accounting & Finance Manager

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are as listed below, but not limited to these: 

•Ideal candidate shall preferably possess hospitality/hotel accounting background with sufficient level of experience in various sub-functions of the accounting and finance departments 

•Manages a team of 10+ professionals in the Finance and Accounting department of the hotel 

•Support the Assistant Director and the Director of Finance during the performance of month end closing

•Supervise Finance and Accounting staff  

•Prepares monthly financial reports; daily and monthly and reviews the reports prepared by other team members 

•Ensures accurate maintenance of the accounting statutory books and manages month/year end closing 

•Control of all journal vouchers, cashier function, bank accounts and ensure all key account reconciliations are performed as part of the Month end file

•Follows up and applies new legal requirements and highlights the implications to the senior leadership

•Acts as the primary responsible for tax declarations, returns, social funds, municipality duties

•Liaison with banks and official institutions and auditors

•Ensure all business contracts are complete and feasible from financial and legal aspects and managed in an organized manner (contract list management)

•Maintain relationship between the hotel and the property owner accounting teams 

•Assist in the preparation of the feasibility models for the new projects which has great financial value  

We are looking for a well-organized and creative candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to display a “passion for perfection” and work in a dynamic environment. In addition, the candidate should possess: 

•Previous leadership experience in Accounting department required 

•Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications andor relevant computer applications required 

•Fluency in English •University/College degree in a related discipline an asset 

•Excellent communication and organizational skills 

•Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities 

•Highly responsible & reliable 

•Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team 

•Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
