Assistant to Logistics Manager

SAI is constantly striving towards expanding its markets and providing first-class service and expertise in the Agricultural Industry. With increasing logistics transactions, SAI is seeking to hire a new team member with 2 – 3 years of experience in logistics who will be working under the direct guidance of the Group Logistics Manager. This person is responsible for the following activities:

• Order Processing which includes issuing Documentation confirmation of purchase of Merchandise, confirmation of Sale of Merchandise, liaising with Supplier to track readiness of Merchandise for shipment.

• Via a select set of Logistics service providers, obtain best rates for shipment and ensure vessel booking.

• Pre-shipment, check all Shipping Documents for accuracy and ensure any amendments are correctly handled.

• After post shipment responsibilities e.g. coordinate the compilation of a full set of Original Shipping and Commercial documents to the Buyer.

• Maintain proper files with duplicate documents.

• Monitor status of shipments and keep Buyer and Management updated.

• Prepare a Weekly Shipping dashboard to show status of all Orders and Shipments.

• Responsible for Samples to Sample Rooms in Africa, Europe and Asia.

• Responsible for transmission of Samples from Suppliers to Customers.

• Maintaining Inventory Reports of Sample Rooms.

• Maintaining Inventory Reports of Stocks in Depots and at Origin.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background from respective Universities.

• Advanced written and spoken English and ideally with a second language.
