Sosyal Yazılım is currently looking for a dynamic, organized, enthusiastic, self-starter Data Engineer to join its Istanbul Office.

About the role:

We are looking for a data scientist that will help us discover the valuable information hidden in vast amounts of data, to support our decision making processes. The primary focus will be to apply data mining techniques, to conduct statistical analysis, to build high quality prediction systems and to prepare and present results in a comprehensible form. 

Responsibilities: 

• Work with multiple teams to understand the strategy of the organisation and proactively source data to support this strategy,

• Effectively prioritise between data requests,

• Create and maintain optimal data pipelines,

• Contribute to the team by sharing new ideas and technologies in meetings,

• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality,

• Work with stakeholders including the product and data teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs,

• Document the organisation’s data structure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience,

• Solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design,

• Experience in Java technologies and software design patterns,

• Experience in developing solutions on Cloud Platforms,

• Familiarity with the Agile methodology, databases, key-value stores and search engines (PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch etc.),

• Creative and innovative problem-solving skills,

• Great communication skills both in Turkish and English.
