QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job description: Service & Applications Engineer (IM-SAE)
Purpose and work definition:
The purpose of Service and Applications Engineer role is to technically support current Renishaw’s industrial metrology product range. The individual will be responsible to support Renishaw’s industrial metrology product range which are CMM probing systems, CNC machine tool probing systems and Calibration products.
Duties:
Installation and training of all industrial metrology products such as CMM probing systems, CNC machine tool probing systems, Equator Gauging Systems
Technically support existing customers
Support sales process by supporting technical assessments & benchmarks as required
Provide customer training of both hardware and software usage
Create simple fixture designs to aid programming completion
Liaise with customers when delivering a turnkey package / programs
Key requirements:
Minimum 2 years of work experience preferably in metal machining industry.
No military obligation
Higher level qualification (degree in an Engineering or applied Science discipline)
Excellent spoken and written English language skills
Considerable experience within an Engineering environment
Basic knowledge in CAD/CAM software or machining of metal components
Metrology and programming of CMM machine languages or CNC machining knowledge is a plus
Driving licence
Person specification:
Self-starter able to manage and prioritise own workload
Excellent problem solving skills required to define metrology requirements and strategy
Highly organised individual able to prioritise and manage multiple projects whilst meeting deadlines
Flexibility to react to short term requirements as they arise
Preferred Candidate
More than 2 years of experience
Bachelor’s(Graduate)
English(Reading : Advanced, Writing : Advanced, Speaking : Advanced)
