Senior Quality Assurance and Control Engineer

We are looking for a “Senior Quality Assurance and Control Engineer” in our industrial gas processing project, which are located in Russia.

*The location of the position is Moscow, and work will be done for the Murmansk project.

Qualifications Required: 

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering or similar,
• Minimum two (2) years of experience supervision of inspections,
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in at least one of piping, structural steel fabrication, painting / coating inspection,
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 is must, internal auditor or lead auditor certification is preferable,
• Strong experience and knowledge of welding, painting and testing in accordance with Russian and International standards, (GOST, SP, ASME, EN, NACE etc.)
• Certification in Welding Inspection or Welding Engineering is required,
• Knowledge of NDT techniques is must, certification is preferable,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office,
• Russian or English language skills with professional proficiency is must,
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Quality Assurance and Control Engineer is responsible for coordinating all quality assurance and quality control activities during expediting phase of the contract. Subcontractor quality control is the process of measuring and controlling the quality of workmanship, materials and services provided by subcontractors.

• Ensure all material fabricated by subcontractor are in compliance with project specifications and international standards,
• Provide leadership for the subcontractor on quality issues,
• Ensure all quality procedures and IT&P’s of subcontractor reviewed and coordinated with Customer,
• Manage and lead the fabrication quality control team(s) and/or 3rd Party Inspectors,
• Ensure all necessary inspections had been coordinated,
• Ensure all necessary QC activities had been executed and recorded before delivery of each party,
• Ensure all nonconformities had been issued and closed on a timely basis,
• Promote lessons learned and best practices to be prepared and shared by suppliers,
• Ensure all subcontractor documentation had been submitted in accordance with project requirements,
• Coordinate / Ensure effective communication with Expeditors, Subcontractors, Company, Site QA/QC Team, when necessary,
• Prepare and maintain a subcontractor performance management system to measure, analyse, and manage the supplier’s performance in an effort to cut costs, alleviate risks, and drive continuous improvement,
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports about status of fabrication quality activities.
