Bursa Plants Financial Controller

Main Job duties: 

• Position will be critical in terms of internal controls enforcement in both Bursa sites, and position should be able to maintain independence and watch over to secure company assets by implementing and enforcing structured and documented processes
• Analyze overhead & variable expenses to detect & explain variances vs prior, budget & month average
• Analyze absorption variances: STD qty, Batch Sizes, Formulas, Recipes, Factors are considered
• Analyze substitution, yield & evolution variances by batch/product (daily task). Propose corrective actions for repetitive items
• Analyze root causes for all kind of inventory adjustments. Propose corrective actions for materials adjusted 
• Analyze Substandard Product Loss vs prior, budget & month average. Detect & warn about repetitive problems
• Analyze manufacturing volume trend, changes in mix and the impact in absorption
• Provide full analysis Dashboard & Absolute Material Utilization reports
• Analyze freight cost of the plant (both outbound sales freight & intercompany freight). Special comparison against shipped & imported tons
• Analyze inventory levels & inventory turnover. Warn about worsening of indicators to appropriate management levels. Ensure no negative inventory lines are held in the system. Monitor inventory adjustments
• Participate in Recoverable Asset Inventory review meetings, keep minutes of meeting, and make sure action items are executed, and ensure that proper provision level is provided
• Participate in plant KPI preparation. Ensure that financial indicators are aligned with finance standard reporting
• Drive annual physical stock take in the plant. Analyze differences and help the plant to implement corrective actions
• Drive quarterly and annual recost activities

      - Propose new usages in operation matrix to achieve New Year absorption targets

      - Lead STD batch size analysis with process Engineers to adjust future operations

      - Recalculate & adjust shrinkage, inventory & substandard reserve percentage

      - Ensure deadlines are met to avoid double recosting

• Support month end closing, specially pre-submission analysis. Propose accrual for missing invoices
• Support/drive plant standard reporting (i.e. dashboard), and the allocation method calculations
• Analyze and prepare plant ACTs working together with plant functions
• Check batch closure is timely performed and correctly done
• Ensure internal controls are followed in the plant. Lead year Internal Control Standards and Process review
• Prepare annual manufacturing budget

Related Job Requirements: 

• University graduate with a degree in Economics/Finance/Business Administration
• Fluent English language skills
• Analytical, self-motivated, engaged, and proactive business partner is required our site to support our manufacturing operation and improve our inventory controls
• Constructive, positive and willing to co-operate
• ERP and Sofware Skills: Microsoft office, and Oracle 11i/R12 operational knowledge is preferred. MS access skills will be appreciated
• US GAAP knowledge is an asset
