QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Located in Canada's capital city of Ottawa and established in 1985, OZ OPTICS is a leading worldwide supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks.

OZ Optics manufactures its products in three locations, Ottawa (Canada), Izmir (Turkey), and Jiaxing (China). Our seven different product groups are marketed and sold globally to over 10,000 customers in over 60 countries, through our well-established and extensive network of sales representatives and distributors, as well as through direct customer engagement.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in related fields

·        Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Purchasing and Supply Chain

·        Working knowledge of Procurement Operations

·        Excellent command of both written and spoken English

·        Well organized, meticulous, capable of multi-tasking, and detail oriented

·        Willing and able to do hands on work especially in ERP record keeping

·        Effective communicator, both oral and written, with all levels of internal and external personnel

·        Attention to details to ensure that there is no mistake in Purchasing

·        Knowledge of physical distribution practices and related functions e.g. MRP / ERP systems

Responsibilities:

·       Manage procurement of materials, capital equipment, and services for Production

·       Interface effectively with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company who utilize, or contribute to, the procurement process.

·       Systematically review the usage rate of Production material for her/his items

·       Ensure departmental and corporate policies and procedures are communicated and followed

·       Manage the department’s administrative process to ensure support functions satisfy the department’s needs in a cost effective and timely manner.

·       Provide the means to track performance of activities on important projects/tasks including the development of metrics to measure and report against
