Automation Engineer

The job purpose is for the operation and maintenance of Automation Systems within Novartis Technical Operations Turkey. This includes supporting the day-to-day activities of Production Unit, Manufacturing Science & Technology and Site Engineering; providing engineering support for capital and expensed projects that will improve site capability, equipment reliability and efficient operation of the plant.

Job Description

• First point of contact as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned Automation Systems related subjects in the supported business function.
• Provide guidance for the resolution of all Automation System related issues; including any deviation investigation and/or trend analysis using the data available on the automation system.
• Manage external contractors in providing Engineering support for modifying and maintaining of the automation systems, building utilities and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reliability of the plant.
• Initiate continuous automation improvement projects to improve efficiencies and reliability of the system and processes.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the GxP relevant documentations (SOP’s, design documentations etc). Generate and maintain the documents current.
• Provide trainings for associates on Automation Systems.
• Manage external contractors in providing engineering support for Capital and Expense Projects.
• Provide coaching of automation topics within his/her area of responsibility.
• cGMP experience is an asset with knowledge and understanding of processes with a focus on the Computer System Validation.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics
• Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in Automation System.
• Knowledge in Programming / ISA95 level 1-2-3 control system components PLC-HMI - Server / MES /  OSI PI Historian system is preferred.
• Familiarity in Data Science, Machine Learning algorithms
