QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
- A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (or a related technical field)
- Serve and guide cross-functional high-impact teams in the shop-floor application of Lean Manufacturing methods, advanced problem solving techniques, and other process improvement techniques.
- A minimum of three years of experience leading and implementing manufacturing process improvement activities
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)
- Experience in problem solving methods (8D,smed,VSM,VRK, 5 Why..) and lean initiatives
- High degree of self-motivation and organization planning, with the ability to drive projects to completion
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule in a team-based environment to meet organizational goals
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Identify and implement process improvements that will drive financial improvement that will spend to the bottom line.
- Work with members of the Training & Development team and other Continuous Improvement team members to train all company employees on lean, and other advanced problem solving tools.
- Communicate with Team Leaders, Lead persons, Technicians and Operators during the conception, approval, build, implementation, and follow-up phases of engineering projects that impact their job functions.
- Maintain project schedules; proactively and consistently follow up on assignments to assure successful completion.
- Attend daily department meetings and remain informed about the business goals and objectives.
