QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

What you will do 

The HR Generalist for Turkey is a key role for running the HR activities to implement and execute the people initiatives across in Izmir plant. You will act as a strategic and visible partner to the business leaders, driving their people strategy to deliver the business objectives. Due to being coverage of a maternity leave; it will be 8 months contract. 


You will provide expertise for the full scope of the HR function including employee onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, reward, talent management, monthly payroll (in collaboration with payroll provider company) and reporting activities, talent development and organizational design and change. You will be responsible for supporting empowered people activities as a part of Johnson Controls Manufacturing System (JCMS), performance management, pay review, headcount planning and employee surveys for the area. 


As a member of the regional HR team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your expertise to deliver our business objectives for Turkey facility across our entire portfolio. 

How you will do it 

As a HR Generalist, you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day human resources activities; preparing ad-hoc and regularly scheduled Workday queries and reconciles queries with reports from other database; preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting and terminating; explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees; supporting the payroll process; assisting with training programs. 


You will be ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed; informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.; addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations; processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval; overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes and performing reference checks; organizing and running orientation sessions. 


You are an assertive communicator, self-motivated, enthusiastic and have positive attitude which will help to setup the best HR practices for the region. 


What we look for 

Required 

Bachelor degree in HR or equivalent 

Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Generalist role, solid experience across workforce planning, performance management, pay review, talent development and employee relations & engagement 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process 

Able to generate simple statistical analyses and reports 

Proficient in MS office 

Fluent language skills in English 

Ability to travel

Preferred 

Experience in Workday 

Knowledge of Taleo recruitment management system 

Familiarity with all human resources functions
