Our client is one of the global leaders in providing solutions for variable data management, prevention of losses and accuracy to enable availability for the retail industry. The Group operates at 39 countries with more than 20.000 employees across the globe.

They provide full-scope solutions for real-time inventory management enabling their customers for improved stock levels , decreased out-of-stocks and prevention of theft which improve the efficiency in the retail chain.

We are looking for a Trade Operations / Logistics Team Leader reporting directly to the Plant Manager and who will lead a team of 3-4 specialists.

This role is fundemantel for process improvement to support the company’s rapid growth plans by identifying systems and developing processes to streamline the global operations team and logistics functions. You will work closely with the production team to support all aspects of supply chain management and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all import/export legislation

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor end to end trade – (import/ export/local trade) and logistics operations effectively and efficiently with a proactive approach and in compliance with regulations , policies and procedures
• Oversee the handling of all international goods to ensure safety in all transportation with a timely customs process & related transport coordination
• Effective communication and clear visibility on shipment progression and/or delays as well as solution development & execution of shipment recovery to preserve original service expectations
• Arrange domestic and international purchase orders in the best way that ensures purchase orders to reach the warehouse in a timely and complete manner
• Optimize the sourcing cost and always look for better / low cost opportunities
• Establish operational process adherence to uphold standard on both import/export trade compliance controls
• Collaborate effectively with Sales, Production and Planning for effective inventory management

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, international business, business administration or international commerce
• Min. 10 + years of foreign trade/ logistics experience in a serial manufacturing organisation and min. 3-5 years of team management experience are required.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken),
• Robust knowledge about foreign trade and customs legislation
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications and SAP usage
• Demonstrate strong leadership to manage and develop team members in the best way
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and team player approach to collaborate effectively with Sales, Production and Logistics teams as well as suppliers , brokers, forwarder, transport companies, customs and other regulatory authorities
• A high level of analytical,strategic thinking ability,organization and time management skills to evaluate problems and determine the best solutions with a proactive approach
