Production Engineer

Huntsman-EMA is looking for a dynamic, initiative-taker individual to work as a production engineer of the polyurethane systems house in Istanbul production site. What will be expected from you? 

· Supporting the production manager to assure that the systems house is conducting business in a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant manner 

 · Ensuring on spec on time delivery of the customer orders according to the production plan 

 · Supervising day to day activities and notify the Production Manager any relevant issues that arise 

 · Planning, coordination and implementation of activities within the production, maintenance and warehouse  

· Reviewing costs and expenses and striving for cost efficiency to work in line with the budget 

 · Evaluating the personnel workload together with the daily/weekly production orders to adjust the shift system in an optimum way 

 · Participating and if applicable, leading Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) initiatives as set forth by the company 

 · Having the ability to go the extra mile if needed to ensure meeting the daily production objectives. 

 · Evaluating and improving the production first-time quality performance and if applicable, investigating the customer complaints together with quality control and R&D and taking immediate actions for improvement 

 · Coaching and developing the personnel to reach the common targets 

 · Being responsible for new product introduction to production 

 · Commissioning the new assets in an effective way 

 · Ensuring the reliability of the production assets by coordinating the maintenance activities 

 · Working collaboratively with other departments with different backgrounds and perspectives 

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate? 

 · Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering 

 · Minimum 3 years of experience in the production operations of a chemical plant 

 · Experience in leading a production team working in shifts 

 · Strong communication skills for teamwork and influence 

 · Analytical ability for effective problem solving 

 · Strong execution and priority setting skills 

 · Fluent English 

 · Effective multitasker, initiative taker and team player
