Legal and Compliance Officer

Our company, which operates projects in the construction sector, is looking for a Legal and Compliance Officer to be employed in the Head Office in Istanbul.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor's degree in Law or related field

·         Minimum of 7 years experience in a legal and compliance role

·         Strong knowledge of commercial agreements, contract law, and legal compliance

·         Comprehensive knowledge of the local legal and regulatory environment

·         Awareness of relevant developments in the industry

·         Analytical investigative and decision making skills

·         Experience in sanction screening and export control ling processes is an asset

·         Familiarity with government processes and legal requirements

·         Excellent team spirit and ability to work with teams as well as remote teams across multiple locations

·         Good at having one-on-one conversations

·         Good coaching skills (listening and questioning)

·         Ability to take the perspective of both the employee and the organization into account when making decisions

·         Ability to partner effectively with others in handling complex issues

·         Fluency in English (written and spoken)

JOB DESCRIPTION

·         Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements

·         Act as the company's representative in internal and external employee-related legal issues, ensuring legal compliance and resolution

·         Manage company processes related to legal requirements with government authorities

·         Managing all legal topics including competition law and data protection

·         Planning and conducting compliance trainings

·         Conducting investigations and case management

·         Ensuring awareness of Compliance framework across all divisions
