Configuration Management Engineer

Being assigned to projects of a leading defense industry company located in Ankara;

Responsibilities:

• Supports execution of configuration management planning. Facilitates proper allocation of time, resources and tools with respect to projects’ configuration management specificities
• Facilitates proper identification of configuration items, parts and products.
• Ensures timely and efficient establishment of Configuration Baselines
• Reviews and facilitates Engineering Change Proposals and Variances
• Advises on best practices for documenting changes on new and existing products
• Analyzes engineering change proposals to determine the effect on the overall system keeping in mind all stakeholder (internal and external) requirements
• Prepares and disseminates Configuration Status Accounting reports
• Facilitates Configuration Audits.
• Provides suggestions for continuously improving the configuration management process and advocating best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering field is preferred
• Experience in Configuration Management Processes
• Knowledge and experience in processing engineering, production, and document changes
• Hands-on PLM/MRP/ERP systems experience, knowledge of Enovia, and/or IFS is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of product release cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of parts and BOM structures
• Ability to work with a high work load with interruptions and deadlines in an open environment
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of written and spoken English is mandatory
