UL Renewables is a group of more than 700 independent experts all over the world that has been engaged in the field of renewable energy for more than 30 years. We are active during all the lifecycle of a project from the early stage of development until the analysis of wind farm lifetime extension or repowering. UL has the particularity to be working both on the project side but also on the turbine and component side in the same way. We are as well following all the lifecycle of the wind turbines, from the design analysis through the type testing and the complete certification; making UL a complete stakeholder for advisory services with wide and deep technical know-how.

Our global presence is highlighted through offices in the US, in Latin America (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil), in Europe (Germany, UK, France, Spain) but also in Turkey, South Africa, China and India.

We are looking for an experienced, well organized, resilient and highly motivated:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under limited supervision, manages execution and timely completion of engineering projects for solar product certification segment by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications.

In particular, he/she will:

- Determine project scope and project specifications such as cost, time and sample requirements by analyzing product construction to develop a preliminary plan of investigation

- Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examine samples for compliance with UL, IEC, EN requirements

- Coordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians

- Communicate project status (to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements) and results with clients located worldwide and keep customers up to date

- Prepare reports in English

- Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job

- Represent UL at industry related functions such as seminars and trade shows

- Visit customer facilities to understand their needs and exceed delivery requirements and expectations

- This position implies regular travels in Turkey and in the wider EMEA region in the frame of these projects

REQUIREMENTS

- Technical degree in engineering

- About 2-year experience in solar sector, ideally in Turkey

- Highly advanced organizational skills with detail-oriented prioritization

- Fluent in spoken and written Turkish (native speaker) and English. Additional languages will be an advantage

- Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline

- Basic knowledge of laboratory testing apparatus and techniques common to the appropriate discipline

- Ability to work independently and effectively as well as being an excellent team player under deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Driving license required
