Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (M.Sc. Degree is an asset),

• Minimum 10 years direct work experience in civil engineering activities for energy, Oil & Gas and industrial projects,
• Experience at working with consulting engineering companies,
• Experience at civil design softwares such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, IdeCad, Probina,
• Experience at both working independently and as a team,
• Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting, 
• Strong leadership skills, including coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution, and management,
• Highly organized with demonstrated ability to work under tight time requirements and deadlines,
• Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities,
• Professional presence with strong communication and presentation skills,
• Familiar with relevant international Civil Codes and Standards,
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Work with and manage Engineering Consultant/Company  performing the detailed civil design for proposal and execution stage of the projects,
• Serve as an interface between the Execution Department and Engineering Consultant/Company,
• Interact closely with Execution And Proposal Team to ensure that Project needs and objectives are met,
• Manage, expedite, and support consultants’ calculations, document submittals, budgets, and schedules,
• Present engineering plans and progress status updates,
• Ensure that the civil portion of the design cost is optimized,
• Maintain and foster contacts with consulting engineers and material suppliers,
• Assist with the development of new civil engineering guidelines and specifications and maintain and improve existing guidelines and specifications,
• Lead and conduct value-engineering studies of alternative design approaches.
