Site Manager (Fixed-Term Contracted-Sivas)

Borusan EnBW Energy JV is looking for “Site Manager” who work for construction works in a Wind Power Plant project in Gurün/Sivas.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years’ site experience and 5+ years in similar role
• Knowledge of civil engineering design principles, applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of local engineering /construction code and regulations for turbine foundation, and excavation.
• Knowledge or interest in Renewable (Wind) Energy and technology trends.
• Knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles (transport road, wind turbine foundation and testing of works).
• Knowledge of MS Office applications, CAD Software (Autocad) and their use.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong teamwork capability within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
• Open to learning, ready to change and suitable to Borusan working culture.
• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solving.
• Experience with quality engineering.
• Experience in designing and/or construction of Wind Power Plant infrastructure such as turbine foundation, transport road, crane

      platforms, excavation plan, testing of works completed and knowledge in related electrical systems are advantageous. Additionally

      past experience if any in industrial projects, airport construction projects and/or highway projects are plus

•  Health-Safety-Environment orientated.
•  Ready to move to and live in Gurün/Sivas during the employment period and drive to site daily.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provision for input information to daily/weekly/monthly reports
• Preparation of NCR and following up the mitigations.
• Proposing corrective and preventing actions
• Checking contractors’ progress payment reports are in line with the progress and contract requirements.
• Conducting inspections to ensure contract specifications, standard requirements and best market practices are met. Inspecting contractors’ site activities according to site specific quality control plan of contractors such as:

o   Wind turbine foundation construction,

o   Transport road construction,

o   Crane pad construction,

o   154kV Switchgear construction,

o   154kV overhead line construction,

o   Representing Borusan project management in relations with all local stakeholders (administrative and people in the neighbourhood),

o   preparation and follow up for construction permits, ministry acceptance documentation.Conducting contractor audits if construction documentation is up to date.Conducting contractor audits if construction documentation is up to date.Conducting contractor audits if construction documentation is up to date.

• Conducting contractor audits if construction documentation is up to date.
• Collecting and archiving quality documentation such as checklist, NCRs, receipt reports, site test reports.
• Coordination with site representatives of contractors’ representatives and Borusan site management and Borusan headquarters’ engineering departments.
• Ensure that project documentation is up to date (construction documents and as-built documentation)
• Time schedule follow-ups and reporting progress and providing expediting opportunities when necessary.
• Participation and/or leading HSE walkdowns.
• Participating “snag list” preparations and follow-up correction activities.
• Coordinating take over of plant to Operations team.
