Legal Counsel

In this role as Legal Counsel Turkey, you will be working in a function which engages closely with the business. You will be responsible for providing constructive, professional and business focused legal advice and guidance to the business and management. You will be in charge of the application of commercial, company and competition laws as well as IP, public procurement regulations, data protection, compliance, litigation management and special projects.

Main Activities

• To contribute to the delivery of the business, by working with the management at a senior level through active engagement in legal matters;
• To participate in negotiation and drafting of independently complex contracts in all commercial areas with an emphasis on IT, outsourcing and project agreements;
• To contribute pro-actively to ensure that the activities of Atos comply with applicable laws and to ensure that company business strategies, policies and programs are applied;
• To assist in managing third party claims;
• To act as an active team member and independent legal adviser in pushing projects forward or resolving difficulties;
• To act in cooperation with the Atos Group Legal and Compliance Department and other special teams and central functions of the Atos Group;
• To maintain up to date the Corporate secretary of the companies falling within your scope and to draft and prepare all pertaining corporate documentations.

Qualifications

• Master degree in law from a Law School or a University and qualification to practice as an in-house lawyer;
• Excellent working knowledge of contract law with 5 years post-qualification experience gained as in-house in an IT Company or in private practice;
• Solid experience of the IT and Business Process Outsourcing businesses and strong ability to work in a multicultural and international environment;
• Fluent in written and spoken Turkish & English, good knowledge of French language will be considered an advantage;
• Strong leadership, commercial acumen, flexibility and problem-solving skills;
• Thrives under pressure and being capable of maintaining a reporting to the General Counsel.
