Senior Transport Planner

Role

Working within a multi-disciplinary team in the context of the preparation of Masterplan projects, this role is an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner with an interest and experience on sustainable transport, with particular focus on cycling planning and infrastructure.

The role will require the knowledge of the Turkish, and in particular, the transportation context. Good spoken and written proficiency in English is a key requirement.

Key elements of this role include:

• Work in a multi-disciplinary and international team tasked with delivering Transport Masterplans
• Contribute to the projects with general Transport Planning skills, but with a specific focus sustainable transport planning;
• Assist with the management of the stakeholder consultation;
• Assist with organization of meetings and general coordination of technical team (international)
• Client-facing role.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Transport Planning experience, including feasibility studies, strategies and assessments;
• Understanding of Civil Engineering principles, particularly related to Road and Traffic Engineering;
• Excellent team work and interpersonal skills;
• Good communication skills; and
• Ability to prepare and present factual reports;
• Proficiency in English.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

• Broad experience of different working contexts, both geographical, cultural and working environments;
• Experience of working with public, as well as private stakeholders;
• Knowledge of Urban Transportation Systems;
• A good understanding of the latest and emerging Transport Engineering technologies regulations and standards; and
• Ability to undertake and research tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Planning or Engineering area.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Transport Planning.
