DowAksa is offering the role of Polymer Chemist; 

• MSc degree in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry/Sciences
• Preferably PhD in related fields on Polymer specifically polyurethanes, synthetic fibers, epoxy resins, carbon fiber and composites
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in R&D/ quality units preferably in polymeric materials industries, able to quantify results, leading projects, improvement activities
• Possess hands-on analytical equipment capabilities (GPC, FTIR, Rheometer, etc.) along with wet chemistry experience
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Good knowledge in MS Office and MS Project
• Residing or to be residing in Yalova or Karamürsel
• Having no obstacle for travelling inland or abroad
• Competent in teamwork, strong analytical approach, enable a learning approach to solve problems.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Primarily responsible from developing and formulating new resin formulations for pultrusion and other composite manufacturing processes if necessary
• Responsible from research, formulation and development of resin related products (primarily polyurethane resins and potential thermosets, thermoplastic resin related composite systems) including cost estimates, testing procedures, storage and shipping requirements
• Responsible from material characterization, test method development, testing, interpretation of results on related works and projects, reporting of findings under the supervision of Pultrusion Improvement Leader to support company goals
• Supporting wind and automotive related product development projects as team member, working with multiple functions in the field,
• To investigate problems, formulate plan to find a solution and execute on appropriate time schedule in lab scale, pilot scale and production scale studies under product development and improvement projects
• Providing and maintaining detailed documentation and procedures for all work performed
• Managing documents, information and projects in electronic format and laboratory notebooks
